The farm is part
of a 20 hectare property consisting of green parkland, olive
groves, vineyards and fields of sunflowers and maize. It has
a wonderful view of Assisi, which is only 2 Km. away.
The farm has been owned by the same family for over 200 years;
a family which is bound to its land with heart and soul. The
name “La Fornace” goes back to the brick-firing
kiln, which was here at the end of the 17th century.
The farm, the oldest buildings of which originated at the turn
of the 18th century, has been completely re-structured and restored.
Three buildings are arranged around the former wheat threshing
ground, where wheat was threshed on the brick floor until as
only a few decades ago.
Guests can relax and socialize by the splendid open-air pool
or in the “Sala delle Colonne” (column room), which
has a large fire-place and is equipped with satellite TV. Bicycles
are available for guests who wish to explore the surrounding
contryside.
Grocery shops, a newsagent, a bank and a post office may all
be found less than 1 Km. away in the village of Palazzo.
Accommodation is in either double rooms or apartments.
